Virtual Interactive Educational Field Trip Involving the Herd

When hiring NJVH to provide a Virtual Educational Field-trip we will guide you to our arena gate, deliver our 1 safety tip, and then enter. There you will discover some members from the Herd waiting for you. From there it will become its own unique experience as everything with them is in present moment and we’ll follow their lead. This experience will include interactive Observation Activities and some discussion around that. Participants can direct where and to whom we focus as part of observing and learning about the Herd’s behavior and interactions with each other. Our facilitation team will be present throughout because even though this cannot be considered an in-person session we will address goals and work through processes, ideas, topics, and/or emotions that are involved or that come up as a result of the Horses in observation.
In addition to the live-stream of the herd in the arena we also may involve a digital version of Horse Path Therapeutic Cards in a learning format. There will be a closing discussion and Q&A to close our virtual experience. During this processing time we are able to help students identify with, collaborate about, and explore a dialogue addressing challenges, and creative solutions while in support of one another.
When we are working with clients there is a great variety of what the Herd can offer. For years we have had relationships and partnerships with our community in mental health agencies, universities, public schools, and corporations. Groups are the format that we work most heavily ranging from a 90min EAP (psychotherapy) group session up to a full day EAL (learning) workshop where SRoH and SRoL conduct business and where the Herd lives at the historic Hunt Cap Farms in Three Bridges, NJ. Since March 2020 we have not been permitted to gather and work in a group format, even outdoors with plenty of space to keep a more than safe distance. This virtual option offers what we are terming Horse Inspired Learning with the Herd (as opposed to Assisted from them as it would live in person).

We are also exploring ways in which these field trips can be funded or sponsored locally. As we grow our virtual relationships in the New Jersey business sector one of our goals is to ask NJ corporations to sponsor Educational Field Trips for New Jersey schools and organizations.
